the controversy of poverty

While rich people sit on their bums with their pockets full of cash they never earned one bit as much as the people who floor the streets of this ever torching tempreture of an Earth, the human race gets to the fact that the promise the UN had made along with it's mutlibillion dollar 'citizens' of making poverty history is now at the point of reality.

That was all a smokescreen.

Big companies have no intention of making this world a better place than they are interested in making the big bucks for their set of revolving wheels.

It bitters me to say
That the wonders of today
Are not what they used to be
And how we expect them to be

The joy of may
The spring in summer
The laughs we always hear
Will roll away and linger

Rest they might
I will not
Will you join me?
For the mission is over - not

uae_alias: its because everyone believes that a sound economy is the sign of a sound political system

which is not always the case unfortunately

True not always the case but be sure That economy rules politics in the the new international system... which is being achieved by many means like the transitional of many basic orgs from govermental to private and which trasports the power to a slcie of ppl who will be on the top of the society ... the more this is done...> the more the gap btween poor and rich ppl and the middle ppl are frageling between up and down!

yuqaal an al-sharikat al 3alamiya heya al quwa al 3u'6ma li hatha al 3asr.

(they say today's multinational corporations are today's superpowers).

ali: actually i believe that a sound political system produces a strong economy. a good example (although not democratic) is the stable UAE political structure which has enabled us to grow our GDP exponentially in a matter of few years.

i might also add that western countries achieved democracy (and eventually political stability) only after a long and bloody struggle when they were poor and the gap between rich and poor was even wider than it is today in parts of africa. However the generation of today's EU are reaping the economic and societal benifits of this change, and now have probably the 2nd or 3rd biggest economy in the world.
